The University of Winnipeg fully funded scholarship for International Students

General Information for International Students:

International students make up more than 12% of The University of Winnipeg’s student body. That’s almost 1,000 students from 75 different nations! The University of Winnipeg is committed to providing equal access to higher education to all students. As a result of this obligation, support services and programs, such as financial help, have been established.

As an international student, you have a range of options for funding your study. Unless otherwise noted, all full-time and part-time students who meet the published criteria are eligible for Entrance and In-Course awards.

New International Students

Automatic Entrance Awards

2022-23 International Special Entrance Scholarship Program:

New international students joining University of Winnipeg in the 2022-23 academic year after graduating from a high school outside of Canada will be automatically given International Special Entrance Scholarships. These entrance scholarships will be granted instantly during the standard admissions application process; there will be no need to submit a separate scholarship application.

Advanced Placement (AP) & International Baccalaureate (IB) Entrance Scholarships:

Immediately Admissions receives final examination results and eligibility is validated, incoming students are automatically selected for these scholarships.

Application Required Entrance Awards

President’s Scholarship for World Leaders:

The President’s Scholarship for World Leaders is granted to international students who are enrolling for the very first time in any of the University’s divisions: Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, PACE, or ELP.

Student financial aid is available to students from the United States attending The University of Winnipeg. Check here.

Canadian Government Student Aid

International students are not eligible for Canadian government student aid or loans at this time.

You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident (landed immigrant), or protected person to be eligible for government student aid.
